kidney stones anyone?
Since Tuesday I have been ill with kidney stones. Not fun. Excruciating pain. To the point of not remembering much of Tuesday night or Wednesday. I can remember it hitting me out of the blue and vomiting but once I was in the emergency room, there is just pieces. I know I didn't get any pain meds for hours after my arrival and that I had to keep reminding nurses to give me pain and nausea meds. I was discharged Wednesday night and made it on my own for about 5 hours. I went back in because of vomiting.
Once again the pain was unbearable and the vomiting was worse than the night before. I couldn't keep the pain meds down so it was like taking nothing. It seems as though there was a shorter wait on Wednesday night than the night before but it could be all in my mind. I was released again on Thursday night and this time they gave me a nausea med prescription.
As soon as I got home I jumped in the shower before the hospital's pain meds wore off. Something I noticed was how pumped full of liquids I was. I felt incredibly fat. I couldn't move my toes and fingers freely. No needlework, writing, or typing. Not that I could concentrate on anything anyway. I tried reading but I would make through a page and then fall asleep.
Today is the first day that I am able to be up and moving around. My mind is still a little hazy from the vicodin. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the stone.
