I am searching for the following book: Color The World With Love if anyone finds it let me know. I did find it on ebay but that requires paypal. I don't like paypal so that will be a last resort. Any ideas besides ebay?

    What the...
So, a friend of mine is doing the "e harmony" thing and she recently received this email:

"I prefer to date women under 30 who have never married and have no children OR women over 30 who are divorced or have kids. My reasoning is that I have found that women over 30 who have never married or have not had children usually have some sort of mental hang-up which is a nice way of saying they are psycho. 11 billion people on the planet and after 30 years you can't find a man?!? However, feel free to prove me wrong. I enjoy a good challenge. :)"

I ROFL'd but she is quite offended...

Since I was sick today (i really haven't been feeling well the past couple of days) I took the time to curl up on the couch with a blanket and read Joss Whedon's "Fray" start to finish. Wonderful comic. I really enjoyed the story, the dialog, and the artwork. Thank you jer and/or ger for suggesting it. :)

It's so nice to see the Batman movies made well. Nick and I just got back from seeing The Dark Knight and I loved it! I'm falling in love with Batman all over again. Christian Bale is an excellent Batman and Heath Ledger is amazing as Joker. The Joker was always my favorite Batman villian because of his simple and complete insanity.

So the woman who I was doing those cross stitch projects for has asked if I could do 4 more. I told her sure $250 each. She said ok! I can't believe I'm getting paid to do cross stitch. She told a friend about me while showing off my work and now her friend is interested in hiring me for a project.

I kinda like the idea of getting paid to do a hobby. So long as it doesn't turn into a 40hr a week job. Then it wouldn't be as enjoyable. :)

Went to see my childhood friend, Kelly, last weekend. She moved to DC to attend Georgetown. She finished her thesis and defended it almost 6 months ago: “Spatial Regulation of Chromosomal Replication in a Bacterial Model System.” Tumor biology is her thing. In March she started working for the Navy and is really enjoying it.

It was so nice to see her. It’s been too long. She was a great hostess. Her graduation was on Friday and that took the whole day and evening. We had a nice dinner on the river front and then went our separate ways. We went to see a few monuments on Saturday after we went to the Eastern Market. Nick and I then crashed at the hotel for a couple of hours and then watched ATHF till 1am. Our legs and feet were so sore with all the walking. Sunday we took our time getting ready and checking out of the hotel. Had a nice breakfast and then went to coffee with Kelly and Nick’s friend. He also had a graduation ceremony this weekend. After coffee we went to the Pentagon Mall and wandered for an hour or so. By then we had to catch our flight home.

I was sad to leave. I miss her so much.

Finals are done! I've already received my grade for one of my classes and I got a 2.2. Which I'm very happy about because I was concerned that I would have to retake it. A 2.2 means that I don't.

I have a week off and then I start Algebra.

The doc called me in to go over my lab results. Lyme disease is trying to come back so he wanted to put me back on antibiotics but a low dose for now. I told him that was fine. Hopefully it won't get to the point where I'm put back on the picc line. I was miserable those 7-8 weeks. He also reminded me that I will eventually get rid of this completely. It's starting to feel like this is never going to end...

Deep down I know I'll be totally healthy again. It just gets frustrating sometimes.

While there were some very irritating moments, overall I had blast with the Cafe Penguicon. I hope everyone else had fun too. The room was jammed packed from 8pm until about 12am. Non-stop! My feet are so sore today. I did leave the room for a few to check out the Pirate's room party across the hall and was very impressed with it.

Thank you so much for having patience with me and helping me out. It seemed like people really enjoyed themselves and are looking forward to Penguicon in April. (Ger and I have been tossing around the idea of throwing a room party ourselves.) The chocolate fountain was a hit! The LN2 icecream was sooo much fun. And people really liked the Bubble Gum flavored Cola.

And Thank you to my awesome husband Nick for running to the store for us, showing up with dinner for me, and drawing the smiley face and my cleavage.
